Division 9 Flooring and Amazon have history. D9 has provided several Seattle Amazon facilities with high quality, commercial flooring. The latest Amazon building going up in Seattle is located in the South Lake Union neighborhood at 400 9th Avenue North. The streets in this neighborhood used to be quiet. What was once an old warehouse district is now booming. Thanks to Amazon, Seattle is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. You can see it. Cranes dot the Seattle skyline all over the place. Continue reading…

The Laurel Building Seattle

Division 9 Flooring teams up with The Laurel Group to create new look.

Division 9 Flooring recently completed a project with The Laurel Group. The Laurel Group Building is located at 911 North 145th Street in Shoreline. The building was built 12 years ago and at one point used as retail space for Laurel Gifts. The building now rents out office space and houses a banquet hall with a commercial kitchen. The hall is used for special occasions for non-profit groups and private parties. It’s a great alternative to downtown Seattle with easy access off I-5 and 99. And of course parking. The community was developed by the Seattle Housing Authority in the 1940’s as Seattle’s first publicly subsidized housing. It became evident that 580 housing units were beyond repair and needed replacing. A 290 million dollar renovation is under way that will add parks, renovated thoroughfares, pedestrian walking paths and energy efficient housing for all incomes. Continue reading…

Division 9 Flooring Spruces Up Ivar’s Acres of Clams

Division 9 Flooring spruces up Ivar’s Acres of Clams.

After a 9 month closure, Ivar’s Acres of Clams on Elliott Bay opened it’s doors, appropriately enough, just before the 4th of July weekend.

Ivar’s is a Seattle institution. In 1938, Ivar Haglund opened an aquarium on the Seattle Waterfront. Ivar thought he’d try selling red clam chowder and fish and chips to the folks coming out to see the aquarium, and the rest is Seattle history. The restaurant and Ivar became well known to Seattleites over the years. Continue reading…

Bellevue Pediatric Dentistry and Division 9 Flooring Create Fun Kids Atmosphere.

Division 9 Flooring recently worked a flooring project with Bellevue Pediatric Dentistry. They sought us out via a recommendation from Office Wrap.

Division 9 Flooring Estimator Sherry Lee Durham says “We demo’d their existing flooring and installed new LVT and carpet. There were a few hiccups along the way as the tenant downstairs was unhappy with the noise. We switched gears and were able to accommodate them by working a few evenings and the weekend.”  Continue reading…

D9 Gives Healthways Flooring That Reflects Their Personality And Client Needs

Division 9 Flooring Healthways in Bellevue

Division 9 Flooring recently did a lift project at Healthways in Bellevue. The project was pretty straight forward. We lifted all of the furnishing and demoed the existing broadloom. We then scraped and encapsulated old adhesive and installed the new carpet tile. The result speaks for itself.

More and more we hear about how environment can affect productivity in the work place. Flooring certainly plays a role. It’s been proven that flooring in educational facilities can have significant impact on learning. The same is true for flooring in the workplace. The right flooring can increase productivity. Not only is it necessary to be pleasing to the eye, but color, texture and feel all come into play as well.  While wood flooring can bring personality, texture and warmth to a room, Broadloom Carpet can create a soft luxury feel.  A company like Healthworks, that focuses on science based health solutions, does well going with the beige, grey, blue and blue green colors they chose. Colors that are known for putting people at ease.  Continue reading…
