Division 9 Flooring has been working with Mountain Re-Source Center and Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County on donating flooring materials for those in need. We recently donated 41 pallets of flooring materials along with over a dozen rolls of sheet vinyl, 20 rolls of remnant carpet and at least 5 rolls of new carpet. We feel very fortunate to be able to help those in need in our community. Part of the donation is marked for Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County for a 3 home project in Marysville. Mountain Re-Source Center works to donate locally first, but is connected to non profits around the country. They recently acknowledged our donations in a press release – MRC PR Division9Flooring Jan2015

DIVISION 9 FLOORING DONATES FLOORING TO SUPPORT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AND OTHER COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT ORGANIZATIONS
E. CANTON, OH (Feb. 16, 2015) – Division 9 Flooring, a specialty flooring contractor based in Woodinville that works with large-scale commercial projects, donated four loads of flooring and adhesives to support community improvement projects in Washington and California from June of last year through January of this year. The donations benefited Habitat for Humanity partners in Lynnwood, Seattle, and Tacoma, Wash., as well as River Valley Community Outreach Center (RVCOC), a nonprofit in Gridley, Calif., that works to improve the lives of families in need in the Sacramento area. Mountain Re-Source Center, a nonprofit that seeks donations of usable materials to support the work of other nonprofit organizations, coordinated the donation on behalf of Habitat for Humanity and RVCOC. Heidi May of Division 9 Flooring said the company is proud to support local communities.
“At Division 9, we are big on sustainability and take pride in our 99 percent recycling rate. We take it into consideration with every decision we make. We feel very fortunate to be in a position to help those in need. It’s our way of giving back to the community”. Division 9 is also a member of the Flooring Association Northwest, a statewide organization of flooring manufacturers, distributors and contractors that is part of the World Floor Covering Association. Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County used the flooring both in construction of new homes and in the restore, where the sale of material raised money for new construction efforts. Additionally, Division 9 has committed to provide materials and installation support for several new homes this year. Resource Development Director Marnee Chua thanked Division 9 for their incredible partnership. “Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County is so pleased to partner with Division 9. The materials that they are donating to our Snohomish County Habitat Store and our local build projects make a big difference for low-income families as we keep the cost of building homes down and ensure that our partner families move in as soon as possible. All sales of materials in our Habitat Store support our home build projects.” Herb Miller, executive director of Mountain Re-Source Center, thanked Division 9 Flooring for its enthusiastic support of local communities. “Division 9 Flooring truly understands the value of supporting local organizations through donations of their excess materials. Habitat for Humanity and River Valley Community Outreach Center both serve families in need and this flooring will go a long way in these communities. We are grateful for their ongoing partnership!”
